I would give up everything, just to spend a day in your shoes
We started this book from the beginning, we read a few chapters then skipped to the end. Your life wasn't worth the 667 pages you so passionately wrote. We burned the book and told ourselves that we would never speak of it again. Seventeen years later we found the book at your empty house, while the others searched for your body I flipped through the pages, my eyes catching the words I never read. I stopped at my name that so largely stood out in the middle of the book. Apparently it wasn't your life that wasn't worth reading, it was mine.
